(aerobics) How effective is this video is losing weight? and help in weight loss in general!?
my measurements are
bust – 36inches
waist – 33inches
hip – 38inches
..or so I think [they always change when I measure] lol
Im a UK size 12
I wanna lose weight EVERYWHERE..or rather, get toned
for me specifically, this includes
-my muffin top [love handles] which I HATE
-my back fat..i don’t know if theres a word for that lol
-my cheek fat – I used to have chubby cheeks as a kid but I just want my cheek bones to stick out a little bit more!
-my upper arm fat
im 16yrs old
I don’t count calories because im really not interested in this approach!
my everyday or rather monday-fiday diet consists of:
-2 slices of bread in the morning with some kind of spread [depends on what we have at home!] – I never have time to make anything proper for breakfast, and I’ve tried getting up earlier but I just cba!
-a tuna sandwhich at lunch..or sometimes nothing at all
-rice and curry when I get home around 5pmish, or sometimes pasta..but this is the time in which I have a proper meal
-something light around an hour before I go sleep like tea and bread
I rarely ever have fried/junk/enjoyable food lol and I drink a hell of a lot of water! And I can’t take the rice and curry out of my diet completely because..well it’s just not possible! But I can limit the number of times I have it per week if anyone thinks I should!
Also, going to the gym, consulting a dietician/doctor of any kind, or just talking to anyone about my weight loss attempt is also not possible because im not comfortable with people knowing my insecurities..unless theyre on the internet and I don’t know them lol
so if you could be so kind as to help me, what I wanna know is:
1.is this aerobics video effective (with my diet) in weight loss?
2.if the video is effective, then how many times would I need to do it PER WEEK for a fast-ish effect?? And how soon can I expect to see it taking effect??
3.Any other tips??
Thanks in advance!
Question about weight loss and loose left over skin?
I was just wondering, given my circumstances and age, if I were to loss a great amount of weight if i am likely to have left over baggy skin?
I am only 23
I was on the varsity swim team for 4 years, so I have some muscle tone under all this fat
I used to weigh around 175, I now weigh about 215
I recently had a child (10 months ago)
My stomach and arms are now flabby and appear to hang (I’m assuming because if the weight put on them)
I plan on going into a strict routine of diet and exercise.
My goal is to loose at least 30 pounds, I am just worried that my skin will look horrible, but I think that I’m young enough that it should go back for the most part.
I’ve never had to loose weight before so I don’t know what it will do to my body (besides get smaller, duh)
Any tips or suggestions as well?
Actually I am quite smart and graduated at the top of my class. I had originally written a different sentence, and when i changed it, forgot to change the word ‘loose’ to ‘lose’. So shoot me, you people need to get a life. And I am not obese, I am not one of those people with front butts walking down the road. I was on several sports teams, and worked as a lifeguard for 5 years. Because of my new child, and the stress of going to college, and working a full time job, has left me no time to stay in shape. Now that I want to better myself, and am asking for a little advice, people like you that have no life of your own, think that you have to be funny. Get real, go make real friends that will listen to your stupid and immature jokes, instead of insulting people you don’t even know on yahoo answers.
Helpp with weight loss?
okay so im 5’0” and i weight 110-115 pounds. my problem areas for fat are mainly my tummy, hips, and inner thighs. i know i cant “target” those areas, but what are good diets that will help me reach my weight loss goal? i work out 4 times a week, sometime just 3 or 2, but if i follow my schedual its 4 times.
basically i just need tips on good eating habits that will help me lose weight, and not like extreme ‘no eating’ diets.
just a couple detailss: im just 15 (a freshman in highschool), i bring a salad to lunch every day, and by working out 4 times a week i mean 2 intense competitive soccer practices for 1.5 hours each anddd i go to the gym for two hours twice a week.
Help w/ weight loss…kinda long but plz read?
Hey, I have a few questions about dieting & weight loss……. Well first off I’m 20 yrs. old & weigh 160 lbs. I’m only 5’0……Anyway, I know I’m over weight & I really want to lose weight because I would like to be healthy & feel better about myself. I would like to be able to wear a swim suit when summer rolls around again & I haven’t wore one since I was 11) I’m also tired of people telling me I’m fat or asking if I’m pregnant. I never had good self esteem so I didn’t really care in the past if I gained a few lbs. & now I’m suffering because of it. But I want to get in better shape now before it gets to late…. I already found out I’m at high risk of * Hypertension, Dyslipidemia, Type 2 diabetes, Coronary heart disease
Stroke, Gallbladder disease, Osteoarthritis, Sleep apnea, Endometrial, breast, and colon cancer. So my being lazy & not caring is finally catching up to me.
So my questions are…
1. How can I keep up a routine of exercising ?
2. I have a treadmill, I’ve only used it a few times because I heard it doesn’t do anything but were out your joint & you have to basically kill yourself for results. Can you tell me how I should use it to see results, like how many miles, how long, how many days a week?
3. I can’t really afford those ads on t/v that send you healthy meals… what should I look for at the grocery store thats healthy?
I know pills don’t work, because I tried some that were highly recommended (stupid I know ) & they made me feel like I was going to pass out & I didn’t lose weight. I just need some tips for healthy diet & exercise
Thanks
Tips to nudge the scale up a pound or too without “eating”?
I am eating so gain weight as well but I am sooo close to what I need but to be sure I’d love any tricks or tips for adding weight… such as put roll of quarters in pocket. Ideas on heavy but small objects.
Just for background…. I am going in for a consultation for weight loss surgery but have recently lost 30 lbs which has made me slightly too light to qualify…. all I have to do it weigh in once at first appointment at a high enough weight so simply adding some weight without eating it would be great cuz then I just have to lose that fat as well later.

how many inches is one pound of fat? I want to lose weight?
How many inches is one pound of fat?
I am 13 years old, 5 foot 1 3/4 inches tall, weigh 137 lbs. My waist is 29 inches, hips 34 inches. I would like to know how many pounds overweight I am. I’m not super fat, I just wanna get rid of my muffin top. I’m also JUST in the group of an unhealthy BMI- a BMI of 25.1. I’ve started to TRY to exercise more (90 minutes of Bikram Yoga once weekly, Kickboxing Tuesday and Thursday). If I can I go to the gym once or twice, I will, jogging 45 minutes at 5.0 with an incline of 3.0. I try to jump rope 30 minutes a day when not going to the gym, however it usually comes out to 15 minutes. Not ideal.
I’m attempting to eat right, aiming for 1200-1400 calories a day, however I usually consume about 1400-1800 daily. I eat a big breakfast: A vanilla yogurt with cheerios and some strawberries inside. If I can remember, I’ll have a glass of warm water and lemon juice. I think it’s the snacks that get to me. I don’t really like potato chips and soda, but crackers and carbohydrates. A usual lunch I make is: One ounce of snack stuff (pita chips, popcorn, organic cheese puffs), a cup of pasta (whole wheat if available) with olive oil and parmesan cheese. A power bar. 1/2 cup of fruit of some sort. Some other snack-type thing. MAYBE something sweet. I usually drink about 4 cups of water daily, trying to drink 8. At dinner I usually have something like chicken with rice. But I think I eat to much then. I don’t usually have dessert.
I want to be able to be (more) confident in my body, not dread pool parties and swim class. And, I was recently cast as Adelaide from Guys and Dolls in a musical. That means skimpy costumes. Lots of leg. Whoopee. The show starts on May 24. Do you think I can get skinnier by then?
Any tips, tricks…?
And I’m not “obsessed” with a model image, celeb body, being super skinny. It’s not me. And I will be seeking my doctor’s opinion in about a month.
The breakdown:
• How overweight am I?
• How to make the weight loss easier?
• How many inches is one pound?
• How to track my weight loss without a scale? Ours just broke, but I can use the one at the gym.
My weight loss plan, suggestions?
So I’m 15, 5’11” and 264 lbs.
So a while back I got the Wii gaming system, a nice change from my PS3. I started having fun with the Wii Fit yoga and other exercises. But I am overweight and wanted to get serious, so I bought the Wii Active.
Now the Wii active was nice, so I went on a little diet to help with weight loss.
I ate low carb and mild protein foods. I lost 20 pounds in a little over a week, I thought it was amazing and I had so much confidence.
Then I got a little to cocky and stopped with the exercise and diet. I eventually gained the weight back, which made me feel worthless. So tonight, I did the Wii Active cardio workout for an hour. I was drenched and tired and genuinely felt like I busted my ass trying. I work out like this every two days.
So my question is, am I doing okay so far? If you have any tips or suggestions on something I could do different or improve on, let me know please.
I’m trying to lose at least 30 lbs before school starts in late August, because I want to be more outgoing and confident in myself with other people. Plus, it’s unattractive and I am a very handsome person.
Also, I’m going to a childrens weight doctor tomorrow. The problem is, I used to weigh almost 300 lbs. Then I got taller during puberty, ate correctly and lost the weight with no exercise.
Now I have quite a bit of floppy skin that is unattractive, and some of it doesn’t contain fat.
So I’m sure what all of this excess skin makes me weigh more.
Anyway, thanks for your time,
