does yoga lead to weight loss.give me some tips?

i am 26 yrs old n my weight is 70kgs after delivery i have put on nearly 12-13kgs. my abdominal part is very fat thats why please suggesdt me some exercises

    Yoga is a form of physical movement,and any time you move your body more,thats called exercise,Yoga is not especially the greatest thing for weight loss.Many people make a variety of claims for Yoga like its a miracle cure for everything,but that is far from the truth.Most people need a more vigerous exercise routine that gets your heart rate up for a period of time,such as aerobics,biking,swimming,walking,running etc.a good weightloss diet allows you to loose no more then 1-2 pounds per week.You need to loose slowly so that you do not lower your metabolic rate.

    Emphasize lots of vegetables,fruits,and legumes,small amounts of lean protein,and some nuts and seeds.Use the whole grains,instead of white rice,use brown,do not use anything made from white or milled grains.

    drink plenty of water,and learn the portions and calories in the foods you eat,use olive oil,flax oil and monounsaturated fats instead of corn oil,and other damaging hydrogenated fats.
    Stay away from sugar,proccessed foods and other junk.

    This combined with exercise will start you on the right path,research and read books on fitness and diet,by checking them out from the library and educate yourself,that is a very important thing… GOOD LUCK!
