How Do I Lose Stomach Fat??
Ok, I’m a little embarrassed, but I’m 13 (almost 14) 5’7 and I weigh 144 pounds. It sounds fat, I know. According to a lot of websites, it says I’m at a healthy weight. I even went on a teen health website and they said my weight was fine. Everything on me is slim. My arms are thin, my legs are thin, and my butt is totally flat. It’s my stomach I’m embarrassed about. I’m a tennis player and I work out a lot, and the fat just will not go away. When I suck in my stomach, you can see my ribs and where my abs are, and I wish I could look like that WITHOUT sucking it all in. Everyone including my doctor says I’m not fat, but I refuse to believe it. And I really wanted to start the new school year off with a better body!
Thanks so much everyone! I’m inspired now. Do you think I make my stomach go down a little by August 18th? Or will it not work that fast?

Do sit-ups.
sit-ups and push-ups just answering the bolded question
same here but im a guy but it was worse just do biking and running stuff and eventually you should grow out of it.
tis a mystery.
the world will never know.
just do what everyone says to do.
“eat more fruits and vegies”
hahha
For your abs to show without you trying, your body fat % needs to be very low. This is a percentage usually achieved only by pro bodybuilders and not so much average people. There really isn’t much for you to worry about.
try to eat healthy, drink, lots of water as you play tennis this summer……
if everyone says you look fine i am sure you do!
I would try doing sit ups everyday when you wake up. And before you go to bed. thats what im going to start doing. and my friends say im the perfect size. but i refuse to believe it to.
ur not fat, nobody likes their own self image i dont either
This is what my gym teacher told me a long time ago:
You can do as many sit-ups as you want but you will not see your abs unless you run off the fat.
I am glad that you are into sports. Make more of your training aerobic in nature, swimming, jogging, cycling, but try not to stress out over it. You are still growing and changing. You are wonderful the way you are.
ok i have that 2 i am still doing it is i do 50 cruches a day and then when u start getting use to it then put a 100 crunches a day keep going till stomach is flat
Well believe me I thought I was fat at your age at size zero. When you get older and you put on more weight your going to look back and think what was i thinking? Good luck though.
* crunches do better then sit ups.
Honey your not fat. just make sure you eat healthy, people say food’s the emeny when it’s not it can actally make you lose the weight. like don’t strave your self that don’t help lke for example, if you only eat 1000 cal. worth a day, then your body will adjust to 1000 cal. a day and thats how many you will burn. When to lose 1 pound it’s 3500 so it’s better to adjust to a calorie level you are comforable with.
hope that helps

I understand how you feel, trust me. I used to have a little fat, but not that much. There will always be a website telling you about the newest way to burn fat. But what I have found out by testing it is that jogging will help you to cut any level of fat that you have. I started jogging 3 weeks ago for 5 days a week, and I’m almost at my goal, a 6-pack.
crunches and sit ups
do alot of running, jogging, walking and etc. also sit ups and basically alot of cardio workouts
Hey Alex!!
With this 10 minute exercise routine you can burn up to 150 calories every single day.
The first two minutes of this fat burning routine is: Jump Rope – Begin by performing two jumps for each turn of the rope. Safety: Use the correct size jump rope and always land softly on the balls of your feet (that is the upper part of the bottom of your foot). Keep thinking I am losing weight.
Minutes two to three: Squat Thrust into a Push Up. The proper technique for this exercise is to stand with your feet shoulder width apart and your arms strait down next to your sides. Slowly squat down with your head forward and bring your hands to the floor just outside of your feet. Your hands should be pointing forward as well. Then in one movement, push your legs back and out behind you (into a pushup position). Perform one strict pushup and then jump back into your squat position and then stand back up. Keep thinking, the fat is vanishing.
Minutes three to four: Jump Rope with only one jump per turn. Keep thinking, The fat is melting away.
Minutes four to five: Back to the Squat Thrust and Push Up only this time you are going to add the Side Plank. After completing your squat thrust and push up, you are going to lift and rotate your left arm off of the ground and over your head. Your left foot will rotate and rest on top of you right foot. And you will rotate your neck so you are looking up at your ceiling. Rotate back to the center and repeat on the other side. When finished, hop back into your squat position, stand up and start again. Keep thinking, no more belly.
Minutes five and six: Jump Rope. Same as minutes three and four. keep thinking, I am losing body fat.
Minutes six and seven: Back to the Squat Thrust and Push Up only this time you are going to add the Leg Lift. This is the same as minutes two and three only this time you will lift the toes of one foot about twelve inches off of the ground only after you have performed your push up. Lower your foot and repeat on the other side. Hop back up to your squat position, stand up, and start again. Keep thinking, goodbye belly.
Minutes seven and eight: Jump Rope. Same as minutes three and four. Keep thinking, my belly is getting smaller.
Minutes eight and nine: Back to the Squat Thrust and Push Up only this time you are going to add Mountain Climbers. Repeat everything as in minutes two and three only this time after your push up, you will quickly jog in place from your push up position. Make sure you bring your knees up to your chest on each rotation. Perform 5 jogs and repeat this entire process. Keep thinking, I am going to lose weight.
Minutes nine and ten: Jump Rope. Same as you first two minutes. Keep thinking. If I do this everyday, I will lose belly fat.
One exercise that targets the stubborn stomach area is called The Bicycle. To do The Bicycle, simply lay on the floor pressing your lower back to the ground. Your hands are beside your head. Bring your knees to an approximate 45-degree angle and slowly go through the motion of pedaling a bicycle. Your left elbow will touch ….

Run at least for half an hour every day. You will surely lose your stomach fat soon.
these two workouts are greats they worked really well for me
one targets your abs and the other one works on the buns
you should definitely give up on soda and sugary drinks if you drink any drinks lots of water and replace junk food with fruits and veggies
It is not possible to spot reduce fat in just one part of your body, like your stomach. In order to lose stomach fat you will need to lose the fat all over your body.
In short you may need to start:
1) Eating healthier, this means:
Eat smaller meals
Eat more meals a day
Don’t starve yourself
Eat more vegetables and fruit
Drink more water
Less sugars and empty calories (less soft drinks, cakes, cookies)
Switch to whole wheat versions of your bread and pasta, brown rice instead of white rice
2) Exercising:
Forget crunches, crunches work your ab muscles but they dont burn enough calories to lose belly fat, if you do hundreds of crunches daily you will have great abs but you wont see them under your belly fat.
Prefer full body exercises they burn the most calories and increase you metabolism for a few hours after your workout.
Get a training partner or a fitness trainer, a very worthwhile investment – of the money you save on junk food for example =)
Try also to reduce stress and get enough sleep. Both of these are related to weight gain and emotional eating.
