Is weight loss easy for children? PLEEEASSE HELP?

My niece is 12 1/2 years old shes tall but shes big. No very fat but average fat. She asked me for tips about how to help her. She said she wants something not very hard, she really wants help, she is about 47kg. Please help me help her.
Just something easy.
She wants to lose alot of weight in her very big thighs
She is 1m 55cm and 50kg
She also eats alot regulary – always hungry

    I’m a nutritionist. She is overweight for her height. WEight loss in children and teens has to be monitored carefully, and the message should be about health, not image. It is important for very very gradual weightloss, which happens to be the easiest. It’s good that she eats regularly, as this will keep her mtabolism high. she should try to reduce her portions by only a little amount. cut back on fatty foods and fill up on vegetables and low-fat snacks rather than commercial sweets and crips and chocolates. Exercise is advised too. even just a quick walk every day, for half an hour will have a positive impact. hope this helps :)

    p.s do not try protein shakes, they add weight and put strain on kidneys
