Running for weight loss?

I’ve been really wanting to lose weight but I can’t afford a gym membership so I decided to run to lose body fat and shed some pounds, any tips of how I can do this without having any injuries? also im 5’8 and im 197 pounds
can I lose 50 pounds in 3 months by running?

    Weight loss is 90% and 10% exercise. Try to adjusting your diet and keeping it at least 500 calories under how you much burn daily. It would be dangerous and almost impossible to lose 50 pounds in 3 months. 3 months = 13 weeks and it’s only healthy to lose 1 – 3 pounds max a week. Even if you do manage to lose 50 pounds in such a short amount of time, you’ll end up with stretch marks.

    The slower you lose the weight, the harder it’ll be to gain back.

    Also, don’t try to run so much at the start. Gradually keep adding to your workout and keep it gradual or you’ll be at risk of an injury.

    Yes; running is a great way to lose weight. If you run every day for 30 minutes nonstop, you could lose 50 pounds in maybe less than two months. Also try to avoid eating junk food and drink a lot of water before running. And what is also important to know is that the speed at which you are running is not as important as the consistency. If you want to burn just fat, you should run without stopping at all even if you’re going slow.

    I highly doubt you will lose 50 pounds in 3 months. Our bodies just don’t lose that fast. Normally, if you’re doing it the healthy way, you will lose 1-2 pounds a week. The best way to avoid injury is to stretch and warm up really good, and also do a cool down.

    And one tip…running alone is not going to make you lose weight. You’ve got to watch your diet. It’s an absolute must. Let’s say you burn 300 calories running, but you’re not watching your diet and you eat enough food to replace all those calories you just burned. It is so easy to ruin all the hard work you did with exercise if you’re not eating right.

    Another warning…if you lose weight too fast, like 50 pounds in 3 months, you won’t give your skin enough time to shrink back and you will end up with loose, saggy skin. Honestly, to me that is just as bad, if not worse, than fat. Losing at 1-2 pounds a week will prevent excess skin because your skin has time to make slow adjustments to your new shape.
