Tips on how to lose weight quickly?

Okay, so I am not looking for a quick fix. I am not looking to lose 25 pounds in a month. My goal is to lose about 30-40 pounds of fat (not overall weight, because I know if I workout I will lose fat and gain muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat) in about five months. I know that I can not eat junk food or unhealthy food and that I have to eat lots of fruits and veggies and eat about five small meals a day.

I need tips for workouts to start off with (I just joined a gym about a month ago so I have all equipment I need for everything) and how to change it up to be sure that I don’t plateau with my weight loss.

I also need tips for meals and snacks. Right now, I am trying to drink more water and cutting out all unhealthy food. I know that my main problem is not that I eat unhealthy, but its just that I don’t eat enough (I eat about two meals a day and that’s it, not even large meals). So I am slowly trying to adjust to eating five meals a day.Another problem is that I eat a lot of pasta, so I am trying to cut back on that too. I have issues with mornings (I typically wake up about 10 minutes before I have to leave in the morning) so I need ideas for breakfast.

I know that my other problem is that I do not get enough sleep. I get about five hours when I should be getting about nine. Reason for this is mainly homework, which I am trying to get done earlier in the day because I know I should be getting a lot more sleep.

Any help will be appreciated. =)

My doctor has me avoiding sugar as well as restricting the following to a single serving per day (usually 20 grams):

    potato
    rice
    corn
    flour

    Anything else is fair game.

I did this for two months, lost 22 pounds and never once felt hungry or deprived.
