Weight loss while breastfeeding?

I was wondering if anyone has any tips about losing weight while breastfeeding, I am currently working out at the gym 30-40 minutes of cardio 4x a week and have been for 10 weeks, and I am not seeing any results. My daughter is 15 weeks. I am trying to keep my calorie intake at 1800 because the doctor said that is where I should keep it. Has anyone else had this problem? I feel like my body is just storing the fat or something? Any tips anyone has would be great
Thanks!
I just wanted to add in, this is my second child, I gained 60 pounds with my first daughter and I had really bad postpardum depression. My ob/gyn said exercise would help in preventing it as it releases endorphins. I just am trying to prevent that again as I feel the weight added to the depression.

sorry for saying this dear, but your main focus should be the baby not your weight!!! Enjoy your baby while you can… It does last for long… Why do most people think that you need to be thin, to be excepted!!

I don;t have any tips, sorry.
I had that problem with my 1st daughter. I breastfed her for 10 months, but instead if losing the weight I put more on. It was frustrating, but I was happy because I had my daughter. And she was my main focus. This time around, I was losing it. Until just recently. But I know that is because of the crap I eat at the moment, lol.
Good luck and don;t forget that losing the baby weight can take time (talking up to or even more than a year) and what is important is that you are eating healthy and keeping fit and enjoying your little bundle of joy, not losing every bit of baby weight.

What are you eating? Honestly right now I’d focus on your baby – at least until she starts solids. I’m breastfeeding and my baby is 12 weeks. I’m back to my pre prego weight – but I’m eating healthy and not working out. I eat things like oatmeal, toast for breakfast along with juice – OJ or grapefruit, or apple cider. Lunch is also health and same with dinner. I just don’t eat junk food – no chocolate and no candy. If your eating cookies and things like that – don’t expect to loose weight. Try taking your baby for a walk or something since that’s working out and relaxing at the same time – I think your stressing too much. I was heaver when I worked out like that vs. when I quit and just ate healthy.

wow, I’m just amazed you manage to get to the gym 4 times a week! “they” say that breastfeeding helps you lose weight, but like everything else, we are all different and that’s not necessarily true! My son is 12 months & mine isn’t going anywhere :( I just deal with it :) My mum said she couldn’t lose any weight until she stopped breastfeeding & then it practically fell off, so for now, just concentrate on baby – if you can get to the gym & it makes you feel good then by all means, continue & try to pop bub in the pram & go for a walk sometimes. The main thing to remember is that babies grow very fast & now is the time to focus on loving your little girl & not worry about your body so much – plus, babies adore their mummies no matter what they look like!

While breastfeeding does help with weight loss, some women do tend to ‘hang onto’ 5-10 pounds or so until they wean. The speculation is that it’s nature’s way of guarding against sudden famine by keeping a few fat stores there.

If you are already exercising and dieting sensibly, there isn’t much more you can do that’s safe for you or your baby.

Don’t rush! Breastfeeding is a great thing for you and your baby – You’ll eventuallly lose weight. I started losing it when my son was about 7-8 months. Think that it’s just for a very short period of your life.
