What are good eating habits to lose weight?

I want to lose around 20kgs but also replace my fat with some muscle too. Now although I am sure I can be thorough on my exercise part, I do have problems with my eating habits, are there any tips I could use to control my eating and also some tips on what I should or shouldn’t eat, to help my weight loss. Any help will be appreciated thank you.

Watch what you drink! I lost a large amount of weight (45+ pounds) by not changing what I eat but what I drink. Drinking a couple glasses of soda is as bad as eating another meal. Watch out for juices too, Hi-C has more sugar in a little box than in a can of Pepsi. Make sure you get your milk and pure juice is usually okay but if you cut out pop and all those fake “fruit” juices with a bunch of artificial sweeteners and sugar then you’ll cut out a large part of your calories.
